Why let your child try first before you intervene?
It's simple. When we have a go ourselves we are more prone to being successful, learning from mistakes and generally more happy in ourselves.
When your child tries for themselves:
They will be enthusiastic to keep having a go.
They will learn that making a mistake is one way of learning.
They will be more prone to keep trying and not expecting others to solve problems for them.
No body takes pleasure when the task is taken from you. It actually takes away your interest.
When you show the initiative to a have a go you grow in personal confidence and self belief.
When a child keeps trying it strengthens emotional regulation.
A child develops an inquiring mind from taking risks and having a go.
When a child has a go they are developing problem solving skills.
A child learns patience and persistence when they are allowed to a have a go.
Improves creativity when a child keeps trying.
